Post mortem revealed salmonella infection in the heart, streptoccocus in the brain, lungs and spleen. Contaminated raw food is the probable cause as several symptomatic dogs shared the same food and the only one that didn't had no symptoms. Mario may have ingested more bacteria than the others, and then also had the added complication of heavy smoke inhalation from a fire he alone experienced. |
