Rhian & Rusty

Rhian was owned by my dear friend Rusty Pearson and co-owned by Montage. Rhian is Celtic for magical maiden. She turned out to be everything we hoped for and more. Rhee was an agility force in both USDAA and AKC. In the spring of 2009, she completed her ADCH and her Mfirst ACH, running at consistent speeds that qualified her for the World Team tryouts, as well as the AKC Agility Nationals in both 2009 & 2010. In 2009, she was top-seeded as the #1 Tervuren in the coutry at the Eukanuba Agility Invitational. With 5 out of 5 clean runs including a 1st place in Round 4, she went into the finals as #2 in cumulative scores out of 87 dogs running in 24. In spite of a slip and fall which cost precious time she still managed to end in 4th place. At the 2010 AKC Agility Nationals, she made it all the way to the Challenger Round. She finished her MACH2 at the 2010 ABTC National Specialty with High Combined in Trial. At the 2011 ABTC National, she won High Combined in Trial again! In USDAA, after taking a break for motherhood, on 1/14/12, her first weekend back at 26" and still with "undercarriage" Rhian earned her Lifetime Achievement Award-Bronze and ADCH-Bronze. She was the 5th Tervuren ever to have earned these titles. She completed her MACH3 on Easter in 2012. She also earned her 50th Tournament Q for her Platinum title. And, on June 2, 2012 Rhian squeezed in an AKC dog show and 4 point major to finish her breed CH, handled by Rusty! We have no idea how Rhee ever found time to produce the Montage Speed Litter and the Montage Pirates of the Carribean Litter. But she didn't stop there. In AKC, on 9/15/2013 she completed her MACH4 and not quite a year later on 9/1/14 her MACH5. In USDAA, she earned her 250th Masters Q, 21st Super Q, and completed her ADCH-Silver and Lifetime Achievement Award Silver at age 8. Finally, at age 9, With her RCH-Gold, she moved down from 26" to Performance where she continued to kick but into her 10th year. She also earned a 4th generation Performance Breeder Achievement Award (P-BAR) for me. It is easy to say this dynamic, beautiful Tervuren accomplished a lot in her lifetime. But, most importantly, she was Rusty's dear companion. She had a huge presence in this world and leaves a strong legacy behind.
