This wonderful litter was bred by Kelley Hoffman BasqueLaine and co-bred by Montage. The pedigree combines some of Europe's finest bloodlines, including the famous Clairiere aux Louves Femto/Eden cross and Van de Hoge Laer. The Spies-n-Heroes are very consistent in looks, temperament, and most especially performance ability. Maxwell and Merlin became the first Terv littermates with MACH3 agility championships. Maxwell struck fear into the hearts of Border Collie competitors in USDAA, stealing super Qs and winning many awards including Lifetime Silver. Merlin made Terv history in AKC, earning 9 MACHs between age 5-11, and at 11 1/2 becoming the only Terv to ever achieve MACH10. He also earned 2 championships in USDAA. A third littermate earned Master Agility titles. Quite a dynamic group! George earned a P-BAR award from the ABTC for offspring and grandoffspring with performance titles in agility and herding, and the Spies gave him many of those points.

Maxwell
MACH3, ADCH-Silver, NATCH, ATCH, U-AGII BasqueLaine-Montage Secret Agent LAA-Silver, TM-Platinum, JCH-Gold, SCH-Gold, GCH-Silver, MXB3, MJS3, MXF, TQX, O-TN-E, WV-E, TG-E, SJ, RN, SS, WETT, HIC, CGC, TDI "Maxwell" was owned by Rusty Pearson in Dallas, TX. Maxwell was born for agility. He had the heart and soul of a champion. He was an amazing athlete, totally bold and fearless -- check out the photos of him leaping along tall hay rolls as a little puppy. In 2005, he earned dual championships in USDAA and NADAC in 6 months. Click here to see a quicktime clip from the 2004 Clean Run 60 Weave Pole Challenge. At 4 years, he added a MACH, and then MACH2 a year later. With the speed to beat world team Border Collies, Maxwell became a major force. At the 2006 AKC Eukanuba Agility Invitational, he won 1st, 3rd, 2nd and 2nd places in the first 4 rounds of the 24 inch division, going into the final round at the top of the board. At the 2007 Invitational, he brought home a 1st and two 2nds. In his 5th year of competing, he added an ASCA championship. In his 6th year, in the USDAA 26" division, he completed the 45 Qs from each game (Standard, Jumpers, Snooker, Gamblers, and Relay) for ADCH-Silver status. He was the 2nd Terv to earn this and also the 2nd Terv to earn a Snooker Champion Gold and Jumpers Champion Gold. Inbetween trials, he became a registered therapy dog, certified in open level water rescue, and earned a dock dogs senior jumpers title for long distance big air jumping. He also sired the Montage Speed Litter. In 2009, Maxwell had surgery to remove a cancerous tumor in his breatbone. A few months later he was able to compete at the USDAA Colorado Regionals. There, he finished off the last of the five Qs he had still needed to earn the 250 Team, Steeplechase and Grand Prix Qs for the Lifetime Achievement Award Silver title! He is the 2nd Tervuren to ever accomplish this. He topped off his incredible weekend by winning 1st place in the Performance Grand Prix, beating many younger BCs to do it, and took home a beautiful trophy for Rusty to treasure. Unfortunately, the cancer returned soon after and Maxwell left us on 11/05/09. I could fill this page with Maxwell's accomplishments. He made a huge mark in the agility world, proving many times over that a Tervuren is capable of beating Border Collies at the highest levels. He had quite a fan crowd and I know he will always be an inspiration to so many people. Maxwell will never be forgotten.

ADCH-Bronze, MACH10, PACH BasqueLaine-Montage Secret Passage TQX, MJG3, MXS3, MFB, TM-Silver, MPD, PSM, EAC, EJC, EGC, TN-O, WV-O, CL3, RN, CGC "Merlin" was Marti Wiseman's beloved companion in Pittsburgh, PA. During his lifetime of 14 1/2 years, Merlin accomplished many amazing things, especially in agility. Beginning at just 12 months of age, he passed the Therapy Dogs International certification test at and went to work spreading much joy as an ocupational therapy dog. With Marti, Merlin has had an incredible agility career. HE earned his first MACH just after his 5th birthday. A couple of months later he added an ADCH (USDAA Championship) and between ages 5-10, earned 8 more MACHs. At 10, he completed his ADCH-Bronze, the 6th Tervuren to do so, after which he retired from the 26" classes. On his 11th birthday, in December 2012, Merlin completed a MACH9, becoming the 2nd Tervuren to do so. Between February and May, he went on to earn 20 more QQs, along with all the speed points needed, achieving MACH10 on May 26, 2013, at age 11 1/2, and making Terv history as the first Belgian Tervuren to ever reach this goal! Merlin's 12th birthday was celebrated in Orlando at the AKC Agility Invitational. qualifying in 3 out of the 4 runs, with only a misstep by Marti keeping them out of the finals. With his MACH10, Merlin officially retired from 24" but continued to trial into his 12th year at Performance height, still grinning at the start and finish of every run. He finished his PACH on March 23, 2014. That's 13 agility championships for the Magic Man!! But beyond his many achievements, Merlin had a special sweetness that touched many lives. He leaves a legacy of love behind. He will remain in Marti's heart, sharing forever the deep commitment they had for each other. Merlin

Connor
BasqueLaine-Montage Save the World MX, MXJ, NF "Connor" was Darcy Ferrentino's dear companion and was with her when she made the big move from New York to Colorado. He thoroughly enjoyed hiking in the mountains and he was a wonderfull canoeing dog, too. His sweet, stable temperament allowed him to accompany Darcy to children's therapy groups at the facility where she works. Connor was very dynamic with tons of pizzaz and intensity. Like his brothers, he was an enthusiastic agility performer, and he earned both Master Agility titles., as well as 6 QQs and over 400 speed points toward a MACH. Connor left us too soon at age 11, felled by cancer. He lived his life with zest right up until his passing and he loved everything and everyone. Connor did have one failing Ð a strong desire to chase chickens! Luckily, he didn't come across them too often. When I think of Connor I always have to smile as I can see him in my mind running around with a squeeky toy in his mouth and his tongue hanging out the side, squeeking squeeking squeeking. We called him Mr. Sunshine for his sunny disposition. Nobody could be sad around Connor and although he is gone he can still make me smile - miss you, Connor pup!

Montage-BasqueLaine Seek the Truth RN, HIC "Scully" belonged to Diane & Scott Vanisko in Manorville NY, and shared her home with Beach kid Jetty. In her younger years, she was a lightning fast, intense girl, quick to learn and showing much enthusiasm and working ability in many activities including ground hog hunting. Although work precluded much in the way of dog sport competition, Diane enjoyed trialing with Scully from time to time in Rally-Obedience. Scully earned her Rally Novice title with 3 Q's in a row, all scores in the 90's, including 3rd place, 2nd place, and titling with a 1st place/98 out of 100! She made her Rally Advanced debut with another Q/3rd place. Scully led a rich life and was greatly loved by her humans. She passed on at age 16. Scully

Hero
BasqueLaine Maximum Sons of Liberty Can. HT "Hero" was owned by Ian Morby and family in Mechanicsville NY, and co-owned with Darcy Ferrentino. He wa s a small, compact, well-balanced dog with perhaps the most perfect head in all Tervdom. Fast and agile, with tons of enthusiasm Hero always had a sparkle of mischief in his eyes. Hero sired one beautiful litter - the Montage-BasqueLaine Daredevils. He was a dearly loved family companion until his passing at age 13.

BasqueLaine-Montage Super Spy "Sly" was owned by Melissa Nathan and her children Mira and Matty, in Glendale AZ. Sly was their first Tervuren. He was a merry, lively dog with a wonderful attitude about everything he did. Sly was a much loved family companion. He was friendly and outgoing, and he loved children. He lived a long, healthy life into his 12th year when he began to slow down a bit. He was never ill and one night simply passed on in his sleep. He is greatly missed by his family. Sly
