Absolutely charming at 12 years old

Besides being absolutely charming, Abby was absolutely gorgeous -- sometimes we just sat looking at her! We used to call her the lawn ornament because she liked to stay in one of her special spots outside in the grassy yard, lying down but still watchful with her neck arched, from a place where she could survey the golf course by Maura's home. Abby and Maura had a lot of fun with different activities including agility and herding but what they most enjoyed together was tracking in the fields. Abby earned her TD on Oct. 7, 2012. She was a versatile working dog, enthusiastic and determined. In her senior years, she mastered a new sport called Treibball that resembles a soccer game in which the dog pushes giant rubber balls up and down a field and must get them into a goal. It's exciting and fun and Abby was great at it. She was so joyful, with that big, happy Terv grin on her face, as she pushed those balls around her field. At age 11, she became the 101st dog of any breed to earn the American Treibball Association title of Standard, Beginner A. Abby was still having fun into her 12th year when her passing was quick and unexpected. She left a huge hole in our hearts and will always be loved.
